1998- 2002

Alan Nielson
League Cup Status – Winner (Tottenham) 1999.
Nielsen was never one of the greatest players ever to embrace the premiership; however every Tottenham supporter will certainly remember his spell at White Hart lane. He won them the league cup in 1999 as he scored an injury time winner against Leicester City in the final. Nielson later on moved to play for Watford for three seasons.

Damien Duff
League Cup Status – Winner (Blackburn) 2002
Duff was an integral part of the Blackburn team which won the league cup in 2002. Damien Duff was arguably the best player through out the tournament. He helped Blackburn defeat Spurs 2-1 in the 2002 final at Millennium Stadium. In 2001, Duff helped Blackburn to promotion to the premiership and in his 200 appearances for Blackburn he scored 30 goals. He moved to Chelsea for £17 million in the summer of 2003. After three years at Chelsea, he moved to Newcastle in the summer of 2006, he will no doubt further impress the rest of his career.
