Mike Pejic
League Cup status – Winner (Stoke City) 1972
Mike Pejic’s amazing football career began during the 1968-69 season. His first club was Stoke City, a club which to this present day he is considered an all time legend. He was a key member of the Stoke first team during their triumphant success of winning the league cup final in 1972. They beat Chelsea at Wembley 2-1 in what has proved to be their only major trophy in their history in football. He later on had lengthy spells playing for Everton and Aston Villa. He was an FA Cup runner up in 1977 with Everton.

Derek Dougan
League Cup Status – Winner (Wolverhampton Wanderers) 1974
Derek Dougan spent 18 blistering years playing league football, in his time playing; he made 546 appearances, scoring 222 goals in the process. He is most famous for his playing days with Wolverhampton wanderers, a club which he scored 95 goals in 258 appearances. Doughan also played for Aston Villa, Peterborough United and Leicester City.

 

Joe Corrigan
League Cup Status – Winner (Manchester City) 1970
Joe Corrigan is one of the most famous goal keepers ever to play in English football. He was a key member of the Manchester City side of the late 60’s and the 1970’s. In his debut season at Manchester, he proved to be a revelation in goal, as he played nearly all matches, helping City to triumph in the league cup and European Cup Winners Cup.
In total he appeared in goal on 592 occasions for Manchester City and is a cult hero at the club at this present day.
