Rodney Marsh
League Cup Status – Winner (Queens Park Rangers) 1967
Marsh possessed astonishing skills, great balance, tight control and a great shot. He began his career as a striker at Fulham and his 18 goals in his debut season saved the Cottagers from relegation. Marsh selected a big stage to announce his arrival onto the international scene. Third division outfit QPR surprised everyone by reaching the 1967 league cup final; however no one gave them a chance once up against the might West Bromwich Albion. Rodney Marsh scored in the final which helped QPR win the league cup and his 30 goals that season helped his team into the second division as his team finished top of the division. Marsh went onto appearing 211 times for QPR netting in total 106 goals. In 1972, he moved to Manchester City playing for the 118 times and scoring 36 goals in the process.

Ivor Allchurch
League Cup Status – Appeared in tournament for 8 years.
Allchurch was undoubtedly one of the all time greats of league football, his nine years spent at Swansea deprived him of major honours however loyalty was something highly essential to match his requirements. Allchurch joined an outstanding forward line at Newcastle United in 1958, however the once fantastic Magpies had fallen on lean times and it was not the happiest of clubs. After four seasons at Newcastle, Allchurch returned to Wales, this time playing for Cardiff City. He returned to Swansea, when aged 36, where he played for them for three further seasons.
